Now when you say "Power Bumps" I assume you mean that when your wife gets back from work....Wink wink

    Ern

    *sigh*

    I miss snow.

I miss weather in general, really.

So much that I was giddy with excitement over our measly rainstorm last Friday.

    Esther Weinberg

If I'm prepared for it...a snow-in day can be a lovely thing. Plenty of groceries, wood for the fire, reading material, cable tv working great, internet...

But by Day Two I have a raging case of cabin fever and I'm ready to don snowshoes and make my way down the street to see what's going on at the hardware store or pick up another bottle of wine at the market.

Of course, one would have to live in what is referred to as The Panhandle to get any noteworthy snow in the Lone Star State...and certainly...nothing of the caliber you're getting at PEI.

Still...can't believe you braved the odds so that your wife could bring succor to those who suffer. Glad you weren't in an accident. Stay home tomorrow...if you can.

I'll fess up... I sent you our snow because frankly, I was tired of it after all weekend. Need to borrow a shovel? We had sun today, so I can spare it for a bit.

    Laura

I couldn't help thinking, once you get to the hospital, the weather still has to hold long enough for you to get back home. And to go pick her up again after the shift is over... ;)

I know it's not fun to live with snow like that but I really, really wish some of it would come our way. I'm sick of having a whole year of rain. get those pictures up soon so I can indulge in my love of snow through you!

You people and your "I miss snow, we don't get enough snow!" are more than welcome to come shovel out my driveway at any time between now and March. And bring chicken soup, will ya?

    platypus

If anybody needs me, I'm just heading off to Bucky's place with a vat of chicken soup. It's OK, I was invited - and it's not stalking if you were invited! ;)

    Ern

Oh, it's fun for the first winter without, but it gets old after a while. OK, Bucky. I'm gonna hitch a ride with platypus.

    Bucky Four-Eyes

It's not stalking if you bring chicken soup. I'll supply the shovels and the porn soundtrack.

What? You guys don't think girls shoveling my driveway is sexy? I sure as hell do.

    Squirl

I was going to comment on the not-ideal driving conditions but then I got hung up reading about Platy and Erin going to Bucky's to bring soup and shovel her driveway. Lucky for me the 9 yo next door is still young and eager enough to want to shovel driveways. And, no, there's nothing sexy about that.

Since when did "shovel my driveway" become a euphemism? Although, Bucky's porn soundtrack can make anything feel ... inappropriate.

Oh, we had a snow day yesterday and it was lovely. Except that all the children were home, of course. ;)

Playing outside, coming in all snowy and frozen, then drinking hot chocolate with melty marshmallows...ahhh, your wife should have stayed home!
