Arrived home tonight at 9:30 after a 5 1/2 hour flight from Glasgow to Halifax and a 3 1/2 hour drive Halifax to Charlottetown. I'm pretty much wasted.
The house-sitter took good care of the pets, but the yard is (from what I could see n the semi-darkness) a disaster, the mail is stacked up hip high, it took me 12 minutes to sift through the archived phone messages, and the hot tub was essentially algae soup. So, tomorrow might not be the best day to expect me to blog extensively. Just so you know.
The trip was ... well, pretty amazing. I'm tempted to blog the whole damn thing, assuming there are no protests to the contrary, and I definitely will run a Self Portrait contest in the next week or so to test your knowledge of Notable World Landmarks Nils Embarrassed Himself and His Daughters By Taking His Own Picture In Front of Them Even Though Total Strangers Offered To Take The Picture For Him. Stay tuned for your opportunity to win a valuable prize, assuming you're willing to re-adjust your definition of "valuable".
In the meantime, it's 11 PM Atlantic Time, which makes it ... I don't know, almost sunrise in Glasgow where I started the day. So, a smart man would head off to bed.
Not sure just what I'll do ...
Welcome home, thou rambling Nilbo and Company! Now I'm glad I put on the good blue dress...

Welcome home! Blogging would be most welcomed, as would the photo contest! Be careful when you wade through your lawn!

If you do a contest, make sure you learn from Bucky's mistakes. Do NOT misrepresent the valuable prize. The consequences can be quite severe.

Welcome home! I cant wait to hear all the stories. Your going to have fun doing some yard work and house cleaning. If I were closer, I'd come help you out. Take a day or two to relax. It can wait, but your body needs to readjust. :-)

Hi Nils:
Welcome back, I didn't know you were gone. Thank you for the recommendation in a previous post on Booty Flies. I created a link and acknowledged you as the source. We miss you in Winnipeg and my wife a physiotherapist (Susan Gerlach) says hello to you and your wife. I look forward to reading your future posts.

Way to tell us you've come home...just put a comment on Kristine's blog so that we all traipse over here. She really is a fine hostess with the mostest.
Take your time with the reminiscing about your travels, perhaps while scrubbing out the hot tub and mowing the lawn.
We believe it will be worth the wait.
